Awarded work in the 13th Niigata Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition
Stone have played a pivotal role in human’s lives since ancient times. This work was created with the intention of imbuing metal with the unique aura and status held by stone. The rice-bran paste finish produced the crystal-like patterns of the stone.
The traditional Lost-wax casting method is recognized as the intangible cultural asset of
Niigata Prefecture.
